Central Park after dark
The lion’s mouth opens to ravished strobe
The rave finds its prey in the children this day
and the children love the light, they love the bite
Reflections of aging moonlight waning
Under open roof her light embellished
Relish the day, give your savings away
Were moving onward, beyond the hellish
Race cars, caviar, won’t get you very far
And don’t waste your time on the lottery
Or bury your faith neath a Christmas tree
This life is not a toy, would you use it to destroy?
Holy hymns the heckled day
Rubik’s cubes shall guide thine way
And if we listen to what the prophets say
We shall get there less we stray
Heretics make grassy neckties
To distract the youth as to where the truth lies
To butcher the day to keep their anger at bay
And sell souls on the stock market
The chloroform house, the obligatory spouse
The Spiderman mural of your doctor, the louse
Your telephone rings, electricity sings
If your TV's your best friend it’s all you’ll have in the end
Will This One Get Through
